A new term means new beginnings, new ideas and this year, some lovely new faces are joining the Doorstep team! We are so excited to be welcoming some brilliant new artists and facilitators into the Doorstep family this Autumn Term.
First up, a huge Doorstep welcome to Victoria Pellant (Vickie)!
Vickie is joining us as Co-Lead Facilitator delivering the DAS Musical Theatre groups, working alongside our existing team. She brings with her a huge amount of experience as a dance practitioner, with years of performing, choreographing and directing high-quality shows in Torbay. We are really excited to have her join us and to see what she is going to bring into our DAS sessions!

Mich Sanderson will be leading DYT and co-leading DYT Rep Company (our Monday groups) working alongside Doorstep Arts Co-Director Erin Walcon. Mich brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in devising original work with all ages and brings a contagious, thoughtful energy to rehearsals. We are so delighted to get a chance to work with him again, and really looking forward to seeing the murder mystery project that Doorstep Youth Theatre will be cooking up this term!

Harriet Loveridge will be leading our Open Doors dance provision. We are excited for Harriet to be leading 3 weekly classes for us this term, including the usual after-school club at Homelands Primary School as well as a new provision offered in partnership with King Edward VII Community College (KEVICC). This new partnership will enable us to support the KEVICC afterschool enrichment offer via a weekly Creative Dance Programme. Harriet wants all dancers, of all abilities to feel heard and seen and loves nothing more than seeing young people be creative through dance. More about KEVICC Creative Dance Programme here: Juniors & Seniors.

We are also delighted to welcome Liv, who will be co-leading some of our Saturday Drama sessions with Pip and Natasha, working with our lovely Little Doorstep group on Saturdays.

And last but certainly not least, we are very happy to welcome Tilly, who will be joining us as an assistant with our Wednesday Juniors.

We love welcoming new people into Doorstep. Every artist brings something different and is forging their own unique path and specialism in their journey as a facilitator, and that’s what makes our team so special. We are really looking forward to seeing what this new crew brings to Doorstep this term. And of course our usual team are still working with the groups, Polly and Teagan with DAS, Natasha with Saturday Drama and Erin with DYT Rep. What a wonderful team we have! Let the Autumn Term commence!
