We are delighted to be continuing our long-term partnership with DreamArts Rep, a London-based company, and to have had them back down to Devon with us again to perform as part of the Devising Discovery weekend. DreamArts Rep and DYT Rep have now worked together over several years (Scratch & Share 2022, Scratch Exchange and Workshop 2024, Barnfield Scratch Sharing 2025), most recently with DYT Rep having visited London in Aug 2025 to perform with them.
This year’s DreamArts Rep company delivered a fantastic scratch version of the first act of their new show, ‘What We Do When We Can’t Dance’ as part of the platform, before inviting DYT Rep members to join them in workshopping ideas for the next section of the story.
With eight young people from each company coming together, we played drama games, got to know each other a little bit, and then worked in small groups to discuss some of the key characters in ‘What We Do When We Can’t Dance’.
