Music on the Meadows
Expect an amazing day and evening of entertainment for all the family, in celebration of Her Majesty The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. Red, white and blue yourself up for the day and join us for a nostalgic musical odyssey through the decades of The Queen’s reign and don’t forget to grab a flag to wave.
The party will run from 11am right through until 10.30pm, featuring main stage music entertainment from the likes of South Devon Rock Choir, Funk City Band, John Matthew and Happy Days, with their spectacular Platinum Jubilee Show. There will also be party DJ sets from the McGowan Family and Chris Macmeikan MBE.
The musical entertainment will come to a magnificent close with very special headliners, The Bootleg Beatles, who have performed everywhere from The Cavern to Buckingham Palace and the Royal Albert Hall to Glastonbury Festival. People will also be given free (sustainable) flags to wave, giving the whole event a Last Night of the Proms-feel.
The event will also boast a Children’s Tent with lots of fun, family entertainment from the team behind Children’s Week. Doorsteps Arts will be on hand providing theatre entertainment, while there will be a family-friendly circus show called Do What Your Mama Told Yah, which promises to get very messy.
