What a wonderful special sharing we had last Saturday (30th November).
Little Doorstep, our younger years group (for ages 3-6), created their own pantomime titled “Red Riding Hood and Goldie Locks Go On An Adventure”. The two girls head through the forest trying to get to Grandma’s house but meet an array of animals on the way. When they get to Grandma’s house they realises she looks a bit different from usual.
But don’t worry, the woodcutter saves the day by getting rid of the wolf, and discovering Grannie.
The older group also wrote their own pantomime called “When Goldie met Red”. Red Riding Hood and Goldie Locks are enemies and compete for the best and newest things (to both their parents despair.) They end up in the forest together and have to become friends in order to tackle the evil wolf and witch who are hunting them. The girls search for the treasure, accidently trash the Three Bears house, manage to save Hansel and Gretel and save Cinderella from marrying some “stupid Prince”. The older group are young people between the ages of 7 and 16.
Both groups did an outstanding performance and really helped me get into the Christmas Spirit!!
