This Spring Term, we had the joy of learning lots of new skills around the art of film making with with Into Film.
We were lucky to have two sessions led by Izzy and Jack from Into Film, with the sessions hosted at the Hyde Road space of our good friends at Sound Communities. The first session was on Stop Motion Animation, and it was a joy to have a couple of our Wed Senior participants joining in.
Our young people took part in a Stop Motion workshop, where they got to learn the basics and have a go themselves. It was great to see them getting stuck in, trying things out and bringing their ideas to life. Here are some of their great pieces they created: here and here.
Several weeks later, we also had a staff CPD session, which focused on how we can make films with young people in a simple, supportive and accessible way. It gave us some really useful tools and ideas that we can use in future projects. Here are two of the videos we created on the day!
