Love playing games and working in a supportive group?  Do you have ideas you want read out loud? Ever wanted to create your own piece of writing?

Doorstep Arts are calling for young writers aged 8-18 to take part in their Young Writers’ Exchange this Summer.

Working in two groups, 8 – 12 years and 13-18 years, we will create our own stories, poems, scripts and songs using a range of exercises and games, and develop them for a relaxed sharing.

Final pieces will be shared with a supportive audience alongside another brilliant group of young people from Bristol-based company ACTA.

This project will be inspired by the work of Sam Hepburn, and led by Vicki Horan (Above Bounds, Beyond Face) and Sam Parker (Down Stage Write, Theatre Royal Plymouth)

This Young Writers’ Exchange is made possible by our partnership with the International Agatha Christie Festival and the support of the D’Oyly Carte Charitable Trust.

DATES:

Creating stories: Tuesday 17th, Wednesday 18th, Thursday 19th August 10AM – 1.30PM
