Wednesday 5th April, Find Out More
Price: £35 per child

Imaginative young people aged 7 to 11 are invited to create a play in a day to perform live on stage at Dartington with award winning PaddleBoat Theatre Company during the Easter holidays.

The inventive Exeter-based company, which is known for its distinctive and playful approach to theatre, will guide youngsters through a day jam packed with drama skills such as storytelling, puppetry, music, design, acting, devising and more.

Play in a Day offers children the chance to have fun creating with other young people and professional artists to put together a piece of original drama and perform on stage at Dartington in Lower Close Studios.

The theme for this Play in a Day will be Famous Explorers! Think of Charles Darwin, Ernest Shackleton, Amelia Earhart, Neil Armstrong – recreate their extraordinary adventures and maybe make some of your own!
At the end of the day, friends and family will be welcome to watch the children perform their globetrotting show on stage.

Katy Dash, Artistic Director of PaddleBoat, said:
‘Whether you have loads of experience performing or you want to try drama for the first time, Play in a Day is such a lot of fun.’
