Drag Queen Storytime (with The Nightbus)
“Drag Queen Story time with The Nightbus is a unique children’s event where worlds come together, giving an opportunity for the younger generation to see someone being fearless and living authentically in this diverse world we live in.The Nightbus is Queer, Muslim, Neurodiverse and Genderfluid. She has worked with Z-Arts Theatre Manchester, Half Moon Theatre, Liverpool Empire, Leas Cliff Hall Theatre Folkestone, Homotopia Festival, The Shipwright Festival London, Arts Council England, Manchester City Council and the BBC, telling enchanting stories by queer authors and writers of colour, in a safe and loving environment.”
– -The storytime will be followed with an optional crafts session, which will run until 3:30pm, where we will decorate fabulous paper wigs. Your little one will then get the chance to #bringittotherunway and strut their stuff as well as snap some photos with The Nightbus.
–This is a FREE event but spaces are limited so make sure to book a ticket to avoid disappointment! You only need to book a space for a child attending however parental/guardian supervision is required for the duration of the event.
–We will be taking optional donations for Proud2Be. Proud2Be is a grassroots user-led social enterprise supporting all LGBTQ+ people in Devon and beyond, to lead empowered, fulfilled and authentic lives.We can’t wait to see you there!
–This event is most suitable for under 8’s.
–Photographs and footage of the performance may be captured during your visit. This will be used for marketing and publicity in our publications, on our website and in social media or in any third-party publication.
