Bay of Lights Illumination Trail
The Bay of Lights Illumination Trail returns 28 November 2025 to 2 January 2026, bringing a sparkle of seasons spirit to the English Riviera.
Explore our stunning 1.5 mile trail adorned with 19 breath-taking light installations from Torre Abbey to Torquay Harbour.
Torquay: Illumination trail runs daily from 4:30pm, with sound elements until 9:30pm and lighting displays until 11pm.
Paignton & Brixham will also feature magnificent pixel Christmas Trees digital light shows 4:30pm to 11pm.
Torre Abbey Christmas Market is back as part of the magical Bay of Lights! From Friday 28 November to Sunday 21 December, explore local stalls brimming with artisan gifts, seasonal treats, and delicious food and drink. Whether you’re starting or ending your Illumination Trail adventure, warm up in our cosy covered areas with a mulled wine or local beer, enjoy the dazzling light projection show, and soak up the joyful atmosphere of this festive have.
Bay Of Lights Ice RinkA dazzling new addition to this year’s Bay of Lights celebrations welcomes a real ice rink in the heart of Torquay!
For the first time in years, visitors and locals alike can enjoy the magic of ice skating at Abbey Park, Torquay. This beautifully lit, large ice rink will be open daily from Saturday 6 December 2025 to Friday 2 January 2026, offering hourly sessions for up to 80 skaters. Skating is held under a sparkling canopy, enabling you to make this winter truly magical whatever the weather!
