This February Half term, residents and visitors are invited to come along to Playing in the Streets, a series of events aimed at welcoming people back to our high streets. The events are being funded by the ERDF Welcome Back Fund, with the support of Torbay Council and the TDA.
Three events will be taking place (one in each of the towns of Brixham, Paignton and Torquay) packed with free fun and entertainment for all of the family. Doorstep Arts’ very own Artists Sonia & Amy will be there each day, performing a storytime on every hour and running a wide range of exciting creative activities for families and young people. Participants will be able to pick up a trail sheet from the welcome tent and complete a street treasure hunt, whilst taking part in some fun games and activities along the way. People can turn up anytime between 11am and 3pm to take part and they can expect live music, workshops, street entertainers and lots of unexpected fun and surprises. The events will encourage people to experience their highstreets in a completely different way and tolearn something new about each of the towns.
