Funky Llama Festival
FRI 29 & SAT 30 OCT 2021
This October half-term, step right up to the greatest show in town for two big days! Join us in Plymouth’s Central Park for some Big Top magic and funky Halloween fun. With wild costumers, wacky workshops and magical moments for everyone to enjoy, this is the festival fix you’ve needed after lockdown.
Expect live music, DJs, craft stalls, a fully licensed bar, circus acts, comedy and magic from local and national performers. Including the latest show Human by Extraordinary Bodies, the UK’s leading disabled and non-disabled circus company, created in partnership with show makers Cirque Bijou and leading arts and diversity practitioners Diverse City.
The festival welcomes families and friends and is open to all ages and all abilities. The party continues as the sun goes down with cabaret acts, live music and a silent disco. This year’s festival will be funkier than ever before, and after the year we’ve all had, we need a fabulous funky time!
The event is programmed by our Funky Llama Steering Group and is inclusive and accessible. Funky Llama challenges stereotypes and celebrates the creative talents of disabled adults. It involves large-scale, inclusive performing arts and social events as well as increasing the amount of arts opportunities available throughout the region.
Fully accessible changing facility available on festival site. Scheduled BSL interpreted performances, on site guide dog rest area and audio festival guide available. Full line up to be announced in Summer 2021.
