A music group for anyone who wants to develop their skills as a musician. Work with professional guest musicians in exciting masterclasses.
All are welcome. You don’t need to play an instrument in order to get involved.
Ages 14 – 20 yrs
7th October – Emily Howard – Song writing
If you want to learn about putting on gigs, playing guitar, singing, or writing songs, you should come to this workshop. You will learn healthy vocal techniques, how to play new songs, set up for gigs, use mics, loop pedals and try out new songs in a supportive environment. 11th November– Rachel Thame – Music for film
An opportunity to explore the effect music has on supporting and creating meaning alongside film. Use musical instruments or voice to create sound effects or original compositions for film footage. Explore improvising freely to moving image, or prepare something specific using music tech. Sessions will follow your interests and preferences.
2nd December – Heidi Vincent – Christmas carols
Tis the season to be jolly with this winter warmer workshop. Come join the talented pianist & vocal coach Heidi Vincent in a Carol singing session. You will learn harmonies, vocal and breathing techniques, whilst singing songs you know and love. Also, opportunities to be a part of Christmas choir performances later in the month.
