Call-out: Site-responsive family experience at Cockington Court

We are looking for an awesome individual or group of collaborators to work with, in partnership, on a site-responsive creative project for children and their families during February half term (15th – 21st February 2021). Taking place around Cockington Court in Torquay, we will invite people to explore the grounds and experience something joyful over a period of 45 minutes.

We’re up for all sorts of ideas, including live performance, audio tours, light shows, projections and treasure hunts. Key to us is a story and characters that children can connect with.

Guidance surrounding live performance activity is subject to change so we know that this will require a flexible approach. We want to create an experience that family bubbles can access and undertake independently if we’re in lockdown, or (more hopefully) a trail involving live animations of some kind. These animations could be in-person performance, digital or auditory or anything else you might be imagining!

You will receive support from platform producers Mair George and Luke Jeffery and our newly appointed Production Assistant. All ticketing, marketing and audience development activity will be led by Doorstep Arts, and related costs are covered in addition to the fee detailed.

Budget

Up to £3000 inclusive of artist and production costs, travel and transport costs. There is an additional marketing budget, to be managed by Doorstep Arts.
