Callout for theatremakers, artists and producers making original performance work!
Doorstep Arts and South Devon Natural Landscape are offering a fee of £7000 to an artist/artistic team/company to tour an innovative, exciting piece of outdoor theatre to 3 community locations on the South Devon Coast between Plymouth and Torbay across July-September 2025.
The piece will need to respond to the themes and topics being explored by the wider Life on the Edge project – Nature and biodiversity or health and wellbeing in nature – more details can be found below.
The performance could be multidisciplinary, processional or integrate circus for example; the project also requires a physical or digital creative output that can be used by the project team after the show has toured, for example something that can be displayed or used as an educational tool in future community work e.g. film, music etc. (£800 additional budget available).

Questions on the form include:
– Your name (and company name), postal address and telephone number
– Your experience in delivering outdoor performances to a range of audiences
– Title of your performance
– Performance blurb (even if just in draft at this stage), target audience and length
– Space/ location requirements + loose wet weather plan
– Proposed schedule for engagement – long form and attachment
– Specific areas of expertise you’d like to draw on from the project team
– A simple budget breakdown – allow to attach – long form answer with attachment.
– Links/ examples to your work
