Doorstep Sponsored Walk Sunday 19 May 2024
We are overjoyed to share the success of our first ever sponsored walk, which was organised to raise funds for our upcoming shows “Shrek Jr The Musical” performed by DAS and “The Odyssey” performed by DYT. The enthusiasm and support we received were truly heart-warming and exceeded all our expectations.
Our journey began at Brixham Theatre, where families, participants & dogs gathered in high spirits, ready to embark on this trek for a good cause. From Brixham Theatre, we made our way to the The Palace Theatre in Paignton where we lead our weekly sessions, enjoying the picturesque views along the way. The final stretch led us to the the well-known theatre in Torquay; The Princess Theatre. A total of 9 miles.
The turnout was incredible, and the sense of community was loud and proud as friends, family, and supporters walked together, united by a common purpose. We sang along the way, shared stories and supported each other on the venture. The funds raised will make a significant difference in the production quality of our upcoming shows, ensuring that both “Shrek Jr The Musical” and “The Odyssey” are unforgettable experiences for performers and the audiences.
A special thank you goes out to everyone who donated. Your generosity is greatly appreciated in bringing these productions to life. The financial support we received will help cover costs for costumes, sets, and other essential elements that make our shows magical.
We also extend our heartfelt thank you to Brixham Theatre and Palace Theatre for their generous support. Their use of facilities, and offerings of water for participants was invaluable in making this event a success.

As we look forward to our upcoming performances in July and August, we carry with us the spirit and support of everyone who participated in the walk. This event has not only raised necessary funds but has also strengthened our community bonds, reminding us of the power of collective effort.
